The Fight or Flight Myth is Sabotaging Your Performance

Let me explain what I mean. When we think about stress, we often associate it with two responses: fight or flight.

A colleague gives you firm, sincere feedback, and you lash out. The nerve it strikes pushes you to fight.

Or, you pass up a golden opportunity to present to key potential clients because stress saps your confidence. You flee.

Your view of stress is limiting you. And you justify it by saying, “This is just how I react to stress.” But in doing so, you sabotage yourself. There are so many more stress responses at your disposal, available 24/7 to help you perform at your best.

This is the lens through which I view stress, and the lens I encourage my clients to adopt: stress has so much value to offer you.

The moment you choose this perspective, an entirely new world opens up.

A lot of people are driven by their fear of stress and, in doing so, give away too much power to it.

Through my method, you’ll learn how to make stress your ally. You’ll experience how stress can empower you, rather than take away your strength.

With the knowledge and tools I provide, you’ll begin to see stress in this new way, and it will give your performance an incredible boost.

Intriguing, isn’t it?

I see it in my clients: once they start viewing stress through this unique lens and unlock the key to understanding its value, their work feels lighter, their results come with greater ease, and the constant worrying fades away.

It’s truly liberating.

With the right tools and a fresh mindset, stress becomes a new friend that adds strength and value, rather than draining it.

A friend that works with you, not against you.

In my challenge ‘In love with stress’, I’ll show you exactly how to achieve this in just 5 days, with only a few minutes each day.

*The challenge ‘In love with stress’ is available in both English and Dutch.
